“"थांब आणि देव ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी करतो त्यांचा विचार कर."”
“Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.”
22 देवाजवळ खूप शक्ती आहे. तो जागातला सगळ्यात मोठा गुरु आहे.
5 देवाचा गडगडाटी आवाज अद्भुत आहे. देव आपल्याला न काळणाऱ्या महान गोष्टी करत असतो.
6 देव हिमाला पृथ्वीवर पडण्याची आज्ञा करतो. देव पावसाला पृथ्वीवर जोरात पड असे सांगतो.
16 ढग आकाशात कसे तरंगतात ते तुला कळते का? देव ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी करतो त्याचे ढग हे केवळ एक उदाहरण आहे. आणि देवाला त्याबद्दल सारे माहीत आहे.
17 परंतु ईयोब तुला या गोष्टी माहीत नाहीत. तुला फक्त एवढेच माहीत आहे की दक्षिणेकडून गरम वारे वाहतात तेव्हा तुला घाम येतो, तुझे कपडे अंगाला चिकटतात आणि सगळे काही स्तब्ध असते.
23 तो सर्वशक्तिमान देव महान आहे. आपण त्याला समजू शकत नाही. तो सामर्थ्यवान आहे. परंतु तो आपल्याशी चांगला आणि न्यायाने वागतो. देवाला आपल्याला त्रास द्यायची इच्छा नसते.
22. Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
5. God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
6. For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
16. Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
17. How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
23. Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
धडा उपदेश
8 पण ईयोब, मी जर तुझ्या जागी असतो तर देवाकडेच गेलो असतो. त्याला माझे गान्हाणे सांगितले असते.
9 देव ज्या आश्र्चर्यकारक गोष्टी करतो त्या माणसाला समजत नाहीत. त्याच्या अद्भुत गोष्टींची सीमा नाही.
10 देव पृथ्वीवर पाऊस आणतो. शेतांना पाणी देतो.
11 तो नम्र लोकांना उच्चस्थानी बसवतो आणि दु:खी जीवांना खूप आनंदी करतो.
12 देव धूर्तांचे कार्य बंद पाडतो आणि त्यांना सफलता मिळू देत नाही.
13 तो विद्वानांना त्यांच्याच कचाट्यात पकडतो त्यामुळे त्यांचे कार्य सिध्दीस जात नाही. मसलत फुकट जातेते दिवसासुध्दा ठेचाळतात.
19 देव तुला सहा प्रकारच्या संकटांतून तारील. आणि सात संकटांत तुला काहीही अपाय होणार नाही.
20 दुष्काळात देव तुला मृत्यूपासून वाचवेल आणि युध्दातही तो तुझे मृत्यूपासून रक्षण करेल.
21 लोक त्यांच्या धारदार जिभेने तुझ्याबद्दल वाटेल ते बोलतील परंतु देव तुझे रक्षण करेल. जेव्हा काही वाईट घडेल तेव्हा तुला घाबरुन जाण्याची गरज नाही.
22 तू विनाशात व दुष्काळात हसशील. तुला रानटी पशूंची भीती वाटणार नाही.
23 तू देवाशी करार केला आहेस तेव्हा मैदानातले खडकही तुझ्या या करारात सहभागी आहेत. रानटी पशूही तुझ्याशी सलोखा करतील.
24 तू शांती व समाधानात राहशील कारण तुझा तंबू सुरक्षीत आहे. तू तुझ्या संपत्तीची मोजदाद केलीस तर तुला त्यात काही कमतरता आढळणार नाही.
8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace;
1 लागोपाठ तिसऱ्या वर्षी पाऊस पडला नाही तेव्हा परमेश्वर एलीयाला म्हणाला, अहाब राजाला जाऊन भेट मी लौकरच पाऊस पाडणार आहे.
2 तेव्हा एलीया अहाबला भेटायला गेला.शोमरोनमध्ये तेव्हा अन्नधान्याचे दुर्भिक्ष्य होते.
41 एलीया मग अहाब राजाला म्हणाला, जा, आता तू तुझे खाणेपिणे उरकून घे कारण खूप जोराचा पाऊस पडणार आहे.
42 तेव्हा आहाब राजा त्यासाठी निघाला. त्याचवेळी एलीया कर्मेल डोंगराच्या माथ्यावर चढून गेला. तेथे पोहोंचल्यावर ओणवून, गुडघ्यांत डोके घालून बसला.
43 आणि आपल्या बरोबरच्या सेवकाला म्हणाला, समुद्राकडे पाहा. समुद्र दिसेल अशा जागी हा सेवक गेला पण परत येऊन म्हणाला, तिथे काहीच दिसले नाही एलीयाने त्याला पुन्हा जाऊन पाहायला सांगितले. असे सातवेळा झाले.
44 सातव्यांदा मात्र सेवक परत येऊन म्हणाला, एक लहानसा, मुठीएवढा ढग मला दिसला. समुद्रावरुन तो येत होता. तेव्हा एलीयाने त्या सेवकाला सांगितले, अहाब राजाकडे जाऊन त्याला रथात बसून ताबडतोब घरी जायला सांग. कारण तो आत्ता निघाला नाही तर पावसामुळे त्याला थांबावे लागेल.
45 पाहता पाहता आकाश ढगांनी भरुन गेले. वारा सुटला आणि मुसळधार पाऊस सुरु झाला. अहाब आपल्या रथात बसून इज्रेलला परत जायला निघाला.
46 यावेळी एलीयात परमेश्वरी शक्ती संचारली. धावता यावे म्हणून त्याने आपले कपडे सावरुन घटृ खोचले आणि थेट इज्रेलपर्यंत तो अहाबच्या पुढे धावत गेला.
1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.
2 And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria.
41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,
43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.
44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
46 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah;
9 तिथे एका गुहेत शिरुन त्याने रात्र काढली.तेव्हा परमेश्वर एलीयाशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला, एलीया, तू येथे का आला आहेस?
10 एलीया म्हणाला, सर्व शक्तिमान परमेश्वर देवा, मी आतापर्यंत तुझीच सेवा करत आलेलो आहे. माझ्याकडून होईल तितके मी केले पण इस्राएलच्या लोकांनी तुझ्याशी केलेल्या कराराचा भंग केलेला आहे. त्यांनी तुझ्या वेदीचा विध्वंस केला. तुझ्या संदेष्ट्यांना मारले. मीच एकटा काय तो अजून जिवंत आहे. पण आता ते माझ्याही जिवावर उठले आहेत.
11 यावर परमेश्वर एलीयाला म्हणाला, जा, या डोंगरावर माझ्यासमोर उभा राहा. मी तुझ्या जवळून जातो मग जोराचा वारा सुटला. त्या सोसाट्याच्या वाऱ्याने डोंगरालाही तडे जाऊन मोठे मोठे खडक परमेश्वरासमोर पडले. पण त्या वाऱ्यात परमेश्वर नव्हता. त्यानंतर धरणीकंप झाला, पण त्यातही परमेश्वर नव्हता.
12 धरणीकंपानंतर अग्नी प्रकटला. पण त्यातही परमेश्वर नव्हता. अग्री शमल्यावर मात्र शांत, मंजुळ स्वर ऐकू आला.
9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earth-quake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
1 परमेश्वराला धन्यावाद द्या. कारण तो चांगला आहे. त्याचे प्रेम कायम राहाणार आहे.
2 परमेश्वराने ज्याचा उध्दार केला आहे अशा प्रत्येक माणसाने हे शब्द म्हटले पाहिजेत. परमेश्वराने त्यांना त्यांच्या शत्रूपासून वाचवले.
3 परमेश्वराने त्याच्या माणसांना वेगवेगळ्या देशातून गोळा करुन आणले. त्याने त्याना पूर्व - पश्चिम, उत्तर - दक्षिण या दिशांतून आणले.
4 त्यांतले काही वाळवंटात फिरले. ते राहाण्यासाठी जागा शोधत होते पण त्यांना शहर सापडले नाही.
5 ते खूप भुकेले आणि तान्हेले होते आणि अशक्त होत होते.
6 नंतर त्यांनी परमेश्वराला मदती साठी हाक मारली आणि त्याने त्यांना त्यांच्या संकटातून वाचवले.
1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
14 मग तो किनाऱ्यावर आला, जेव्हा त्याने मोठा लोकसमुदाय पाहिला. तेव्हा त्याला त्यांच्याबद्दल कळवळा वाटला. म्हणून जे आजारी होते त्यांना त्याने बरे केले.
22 स्वत: लोकसमुदायास निरोप देईपर्यंत त्याने शिष्यांना नावेत बसून लगेच आपल्यापुढे पलीकडे जाण्यास सांगितले.
23 लोकांना पाठवून दिल्यावर तो प्रार्थना करण्यास एकांत ठिकाणी डोगरावर गेला, रात्र झाली तेव्हा तो तेथे एकटाच होता.
24 पण त्यावेळी नाव किनाऱ्यापासून बऱ्याच अंतरावर होती व ती लाटांनी हेलकावत होती, कारण वारा समोरून वाहत होता.
25 मग पहाटेच्या वेळी तो पाण्यावरून चालत शिष्यांकडे आला.
26 शिष्य त्याला पाण्यावरून चालताना पाहून घाबरून गेले, त्यांना वाटले, भूतबीत आहे की काय म्हणून ते भूत, भूत असे ओरडू लागले.
27 पण येशू लगेच त्यांना म्हणाला, काळजी करू नका. मी आहे, भीऊ नका.
28 पेत्र म्हणाला, प्रभु जर तो तूच आहेस तर मला पाण्यावरून तुझ्याकडे यायला सांग.
29 येशू म्हणाला, ये.मग पेत्र नावेतून पाण्यात उतरला व पाण्यावरून चालत येशूकडे जाऊ लागला.
30 पण तो पाण्यावरून चालत असतानाच वारा व लाटा पाहून तो भ्याला आणि बुडू लागला. बुडताना ओरडला, प्रभु, मला वाचवा.
31 आणि लगेंच येशूने आपला हात पुढे करून त्याला धरले व म्हटले, अरे अल्पविश्वासू माणसा, तू संशय का धरलास?
32 मग ते नावेत बसल्यावर वारा थाबला.
33 तेव्हा जे नावेत होते ते त्याला नमन करून म्हणाले, तुम्ही खरोखर देवाचे पुत्र आहात.
34 नंतर ते पलीकडे गनेसरेत येथे पोहोचले.
35 तेथील लोकांनी येशूला पाहिले व सभोवतालच्या सर्व प्रदेशात निरोप पाठविला व त्यांनी सर्व प्रकारच्या आजाऱ्यांस त्याच्याकडे आणले.
36 आणि आम्हांला आपल्या वस्त्राच्या काठाला स्पर्श करू द्यावा, अशी विनंती केली, तेव्हा जितक्यांनी स्पर्श केला तितके बरे झाले.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
13 मी कोण आहे? पर्वत निर्माण करणारा मीच तो एकमेव! मी तुमच्या मनाची निर्मिती केली. मीच लोकांना कसे बोलायचे ते शिकविले. मीच पहाटेचे अंधारात परिवर्तन करतो. मी पृथ्वीवरील पर्वत माझ्या पायाखाली तुडवतो मी कोण आहे? माझे नाव याव्हे मी सैन्याचा परमेश्वर आहे.
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.

Mind's control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science.

The Scriptures imply that God is All-in-all. From this it follows that nothing possesses reality nor existence except the divine Mind and His ideas. The Scriptures also declare that God is Spirit. Therefore in Spirit all is harmony, and there can be no discord; … Everything in God's universe expresses Him.

There is but one real attraction, that of Spirit. The pointing of the needle to the pole symbolizes this all-embracing power or the attraction of God, divine Mind.
The planets have no more power over man than over his Maker, since God governs the universe; but man, reflecting God's power, has dominion over all the earth and its hosts.

In proportion as matter loses to human sense all entity as man, in that proportion does man become its master. He enters into a diviner sense of the facts, and comprehends the theology of Jesus as demonstrated in healing the sick, raising the dead, and walking over the wave. All these deeds manifested Jesus' control over the belief that matter is substance, that it can be the arbiter of life or the constructor of any form of existence.

… through spiritual ascendency our Lord and Master healed the sick, raised the dead, and commanded even the winds and waves to obey him. Grace and Truth are potent beyond all other means and methods.

Erring power is a material belief, a blind miscalled force, the offspring of will and not of wisdom, of the mortal mind and not of the immortal. It is the headlong cataract, the devouring flame, the tempest's breath. It is lightning and hurricane, all that is selfish, wicked, dishonest, and impure.
Moral and spiritual might belong to Spirit, who holds the "wind in His fists;" and this teaching accords with Science and harmony. In Science, you can have no power opposed to God, and the physical senses must give up their false testimony. Your influence for good depends upon the weight you throw into the right scale. The good you do and embody gives you the only power obtainable. Evil is not power. It is a mockery of strength, which erelong betrays its weakness and falls, never to rise.

The material so-called gases and forces are counterfeits of the spiritual forces of divine Mind, whose potency is Truth, whose attraction is Love, whose adhesion and cohesion are Life, perpetuating the eternal facts of being. Electricity is the sharp surplus of materiality which counterfeits the true essence of spirituality or truth, — the great difference being that electricity is not intelligent, while spiritual truth is Mind.
There is no vapid fury of mortal mind — expressed in earthquake, wind, wave, lightning, fire, bestial ferocity — and this so-called mind is self-destroyed. The manifestations of evil, which counterfeit divine justice, are called in the Scriptures, "The anger of the Lord." In reality, they show the self-destruction of error or matter and point to matter's opposite, the strength and permanency of Spirit. Christian Science brings to light Truth and its supremacy, universal harmony, the entireness of God, good, and the nothingness of evil.

The universe, like man, is to be interpreted by Science from its divine Principle, God, and then it can be understood; but when explained on the basis of physical sense and represented as subject to growth, maturity, and decay, the universe, like man, is, and must continue to be, an enigma.
Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind. They belong to divine Principle, and support the equipoise of that thought-force, which launched the earth in its orbit and said to the proud wave, "Thus far and no farther."
Spirit is the life, substance, and continuity of all things. We tread on forces. Withdraw them, and creation must collapse. Human knowledge calls them forces of matter; but divine Science declares that they belong wholly to divine Mind, are inherent in this Mind, and so restores them to their rightful home and classification.
The elements and functions of the physical body and of the physical world will change as mortal mind changes its beliefs.

The universe of Spirit reflects the creative power of the divine Principle, or Life, which reproduces the multitudinous forms of Mind and governs the multiplication of the compound idea man. The tree and herb do not yield fruit because of any propagating power of their own, but because they reflect the Mind which includes all. A material world implies a mortal mind and man a creator. The scientific divine creation declares immortal Mind and the universe created by God.

Love alone can impart the limitless idea of infinite Mind. Geology has never explained the earth's formations; it cannot explain them.
Science reveals only one Mind, and this one shining by its own light and governing the universe, including man, in perfect harmony. This Mind forms ideas, its own images, subdivides and radiates their borrowed light, intelligence, and so explains the Scripture phrase, "whose seed is in itself." Thus God's ideas "multiply and replenish the earth." The divine Mind supports the sublimity, magnitude, and infinitude of spiritual creation.

The periods of spiritual ascension are the days and seasons of Mind's creation, in which beauty, sublimity, purity, and holiness — yea, the divine nature — appear in man and the universe never to disappear.
