“"हे इस्राएल लोकहो, ऐका! परमेश्वर हाच आपला देव आहे. परमेश्वर एकच आहे."”
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.”
5 आणि आपला देव परमेश्वर ह्यावर संपूर्ण अंत:करणाने, संपूर्ण मनाने व संपूर्ण शक्तीने प्रेम करा.
6 मी आज दिलेल्या आज्ञा तुमच्या कायम लक्षात असू द्या.
7 त्या आपल्या मुलाबाळांनाही शिकावा. घरी, दारी, झोपता-उठताना, त्याविषयी बोलत राहा.
12 पण सावध राहा! परमेश्वराला विसरु नका. मिसरमध्ये तुम्ही गुलाम होता पण तेथून त्याने तुम्हांला बाहेर आणले.
14 तुमच्या आसपासच्या राष्ट्रातील लोकांच्या दैवतांच्या नादी लागू नका.
17 त्याच्या आज्ञा कटाक्षाने पाळा. त्याच्या शिकवणीचे व नियमांचे पालन करा.
18 उचित आणि चांगले आहे तेच करा. त्यानेच परमेश्वर प्रसन्न होतो. त्याने तुमचे कल्याण होईल. परमेश्वराने जो चांगला प्रदेश तुम्हांला द्यायचे तुमच्या पूर्वजांना कबूल केले आहे, त्यात तुमचा प्रवेश होईल.
2 मी याव्हे तुझा प्रभू, तुझा देव आहे. तुम्ही मिसरमध्ये गुलाम होता तेव्हा मीच तुम्हाला तेथून गुलामगिरीतून सोडवून आणले.
3 माझ्या शिवाय इतर कोणत्याही दैवतांची तू उपासना करु नयेस.
5. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
12. Beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
14. Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you.
17. Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18. And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers.
2. I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

17 ... जेथे प्रभूचा आत्मा आहे तेथे मोकळेपणा आहे.
17 …where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
33 परमेश्वरा, मला तुझे नियम शिकव आणि मी त्यांचे पालन करीन.
34 मला तुझी शिकवण समजून घ्यायला मदत कर आणि मी ती पूर्णपणे पाळीन.
35 परमेश्वरा, मला तुझ्या आज्ञांच्या मार्गाकडे घेऊन जा. मला जीवन जगायचा तो मार्ग अगदी मनापासून आवडतो.
36 श्रीमंत कसे व्हायचे हे शिकवण्यापेक्षा मला तुझ्या कराराचा विचार करण्यासाठी मदत कर.
44 परमेश्वरा, मी सदैव तुझ्या शिकवणुकी प्रमाणे चालेन.
45 म्हणजे मी मुक्त होईन का? कारण मी तुझे नियम पाळायचा आटोकाट प्रयत्न करतो.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
1 मोशेच्या सासऱ्याचे नाव इथ्रो असे होते. मोशे त्याची शेरडेमेंढरे चारणारा मेंढपाळ होता. एके दिवशी मोशे वाळवंटाच्या पश्चिमेला होरेब डोंगर म्हणजे सिनाय डोंगर ह्या देवाच्या डोंगराकडे आपली मेंढरे घेऊन गेला.
2 त्या डोंगरावर त्याने एका जळत्या झुडूपात परमेश्वरच्या दूताला पाहिले. मोशेन असे पाहिले की झुडूप जळत होते परंतु ते जळून खाक होत नव्हते तर जसेच्या तसेच होते.
3 तेव्हा मोशे स्वत:शी म्हणाला, हे झुडूप जळत असून जळून नष्ट का होत नाही हे मी जरा जवळ जाऊन पाहातो.
4 मोशे झुडूपाजवळ येत होता हे परमेश्वराने पाहिले. तेव्हा झुडूपातून देवाने मोशेला हाक मारून म्हटले, मोशे मोशे!आणि मोशे म्हणाला, मी इथे आहे.
5 तेव्हा परमेश्वर म्हणाला, तू आहेस तेथून झुडूपाजवळ येऊनकोस, तर तुझ्या पायातले पायतण काढ; कारण तू पवित्र भूमिवर उभा आहेस.
6 मी तुझ्या पूर्वजांचा म्हणजे अब्राहाम, इसहाक व याकोब यांचा देव आहे. देवाकडे पाहाण्यास मोशेला भीती वाटली म्हणून त्याने आपले तोंड झाकून घेतले.
7 परमेश्वर म्हणाला, मिसरमध्ये माझ्या लोकांना कसा त्रास भोगावा लागत आहे; आणि मिसरच्या लोकांनी त्याचा कसा छळ चालविलेला आहे, हे मी पाहिले आहे; त्या लोकांच्या हाका मी ऐकल्या आहेत; लोकांचे हाल व दु:ख मला समजले आहे.
8 आता मी खाली जाऊन माझ्या लोकांचा मिसरच्या लोकांपासून बचाव करीन; मी त्यांना ह्या देशातून काढून जेथे त्यांना कसलाही त्रास होणार नाही अशा चांगल्या देशातजेथे कनानी, हित्ती, अमोरी, परिज्जी, हिव्वी व यबूसी असे विविध प्रकारचे लोक राहतात, तेथे घेऊन जाईन.
10 तेव्हा मी आता तुला फारोकडे पाठवीत आहे! तर तू आता त्याच्याकडे जा! आणि माझ्या लोकांना म्हणजे माझ्या इस्राएल लोकांना मिसरमधून तुझ्या पुढाकाराने घेऊन ये!
11 परंतु मोशे देवाला म्हणाला, मी कोणी मोठा माणूस नाही! मी साधा माणूस आहे! तेव्हा फारोकडे जाऊन इस्राएल लोकांना मिसरमधून घेऊन यावयाच्या पात्रतेचा माणूस मी नाही, तर मग मी हे कसे करु शकेन?
12 देव म्हणाला, हे तू करु शकशील, कारण मी तुजबरोबर असेन मी तुला पाठवीत आहे याचा पुरावा असा असेल; तू इस्राएल लोकांना मिसरमधून बाहेर आणल्यावर या डोंगरावर येऊन माझी उपासना करशील.
13 मग मोशे देवाला म्हणाला, परंतु मी जर इस्राएल लोकाकडे जाऊन म्हणालो, ‘तुमच्या पूर्वजांचा देव याने मला तुमच्याकडे पाठवले आहे;’ तर मग ते लोक विचारतील ‘त्याचे नाव काय आहे?’ मग मी त्यांना काय सांगू?
14 मग देव मोशेला म्हणाला, त्याचे नाव ‘जो मी आहे तो मी आहे’असे आहे, हे त्यांना सांग. तू इस्राएल लोकाकंडे जाशील तेव्हा मी आहे ने मला पाठवले आहे असे त्यांना सांग.
1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey;
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
10 परंतु मोशे परमेश्वराला म्हणाला, परंतु परमेश्वरा मी तुला खरे ते सांगतो; मी काही चांगला वक्ता नाही; मला लोकांसमोर कधीही नीट बोलता आलेले नाही. आणि आता तुझ्याबरोबर बोलल्यानंतरही नाही. तुला माहीत आहे की मी सावकाश व अडखळत बोलतो आणि बोलताना मला योग्य, परिणामकारक शब्द सापडत नाहीत;
11 मग परमेश्वर त्याला म्हणाला, माणसाचे तोंड कोणी केले? माणसाला बहिरा, मुका, आंधळा किंवा डोळस कोण करतो? मीच की नाही? मी ‘याव्हे आहे! होय ना?
12 तेव्हा मी सांगतो, तू आता जा. तू बोलत असताना मी तुझ्याबरोबर असेन. मी योग्य शब्द तुझ्या मुखात घालीन.
27 परमेश्वराने अहरोनाला सांगितले होते, तू वाळवंटात जाऊन मोशेला भेट.
28 परमेश्वराने मोशेला सांगितलेल्या सर्व गोष्टी मोशेने अहरोनाला सांगितल्या व देवाने त्याला का पाठवले तेही सांगितले; तसेच परमेश्वराने मोशेला जे चमत्कार करून दाखवावयाची आज्ञा दिली होती त्याविषयीही त्याने अहरोनाला सांगितले.
29 मग मोशे व अहरोन यांनी जाऊन इस्राएली वंशजाचे सर्व वडीलधारी एकत्र जमवले.
30 नंतर परमेश्वराने मोशेला सांगितलेल्या सर्व गोष्टी अहरोनाने लोकांस कळवल्या; त्यानंतर मोशेने लोकांसमक्ष चमत्कार करून दाखवले.
31 तेव्हा देवानेच मोशेला पाठवले असल्याबद्दल त्यांची खात्री झाली. देवाने त्यांच्या हालअपेष्टा पाहिल्या आहेत व तो त्याना भेटण्यास आला आहे हे त्यांना माहीत झाले. तेव्हा त्यांनी नमन करून देवाची उपासना केली.
10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
27 And the Lord said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.
28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
29 And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:
30 And Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
1 मोशे व अहरोन इस्राएल लोकांशी बोलल्यानांतर फारोकडे गेले व त्याला म्हणाले, इस्राएल लोकांचा देवम्हणतो, माझ्या लोकांना माझ्या सन्मानाकरिता उत्सव करावयास रानात जाऊ द्यावे.
1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go,
1 परमेश्वराची स्तुती करा. परमेश्वर चांगला आहे म्हणून त्याला धन्यवाद द्या. देवाचे प्रेम सदैव राहील.
2 परमेश्वर खरोखरच किती महान आहे याचे वर्णन कुणीही करु शकणार नाही. देवाची जितकी स्तुती करायला हवी तितकी कुणीही करु शकणार नाही.
7 परमेश्वरा, मिसरमधले आमचे पूर्वज तू केलेल्या चमत्कारांपासून काहीही शिकले नाहीत. ते लाल समुद्राजवळ होते तेव्हा आमचे पूर्वज तुझ्याविरुध्द गेले.
8 परंतु देवाने आमच्या पूर्वजांचा उध्दार केला तो केवळ त्याच्या नावा खातर, देवाने त्याची महान शक्ती दाखविण्यासाठी त्यांना वाचवले.
9 देवाने आज्ञा केली आणि लाल समुद्र कोरडा झाला. देवाने आमच्या पूर्वजांना खोल समुद्रातून वाळवंटासारख्या कोरड्या प्रदेशात नेले.
10 देवाने आमच्या पूर्वजांना त्यांच्या शत्रूंपासून वाचवले. देवाने त्यांची त्यांच्या शत्रूंपासून सुटका केली.
48 परमेश्वराला, इस्राएलाच्या देवाला धन्यवाद द्या. देव नेहमी राहात आला आहे आणि तो सदैव राहाणार आहे. आणि सगळे लोक म्हणाले, आमेन! परमेश्वराची स्तुती करा.
1 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?
7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.
14 मग आत्म्याच्या सामर्थ्यात येशू गालीलास परतला आणि त्याच्याविषयीची बातमी सगळीकडे पसरली.
15 त्याने त्यांच्या सभास्थानात शिकविले, आणि सर्वांनी त्याची स्तुति केली.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
1 आम्ही स्वातंत्र्यात राहावे म्हणून ख्रिस्ताने आम्हांला मुक्त केले, म्हणून स्थिर राहा. आणि नियमशास्त्राच्या जुवाच्यागुलामगिरीचे ओझे पुन्हा लादून घेऊ नका.

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 कारण जितक्यांना देवाचा आत्मा चालवितो, तितके देवाची मुले आहेत.
15 पुन्हा भीति वाटू नये म्हणून तुम्हांला गुलामगिरीचा आत्मा मिळाला नाही, तर तुम्हांला दतकपणाचा आत्मा मिळाला आहे. त्याच्यायोगे आम्ही अब्बा, बापा अशी हाक मारतो.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

There is but one I, or Us, but one divine Principle, or Mind, governing all existence; man and woman unchanged forever in their individual characters, even as numbers which never blend with each other, though they are governed by one Principle.

Man is tributary to God, Spirit, and to nothing else. God's being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Like the archpriests of yore, man is free "to enter into the holiest," — the realm of God.

Immortal Mind, governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual.

God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.
Man's rights are invaded when the divine order is interfered with, and the mental trespasser incurs the divine penalty due this crime.

The eastern empires and nations owe their false government to the misconceptions of Deity there prevalent. Tyranny, intolerance, and bloodshed, wherever found, arise from the belief that the infinite is formed after the pattern of mortal personality, passion, and impulse.

Pagan worship began with muscularity, but the law of Sinai lifted thought into the song of David. Moses advanced a nation to the worship of God in Spirit instead of matter, and illustrated the grand human capacities of being bestowed by immortal Mind.

Truth brings the elements of liberty. On its banner is the Soul-inspired motto, "Slavery is abolished." The power of God brings deliverance to the captive. No power can withstand divine Love. What is this supposed power, which opposes itself to God? Whence cometh it? What is it that binds man with iron shackles to sin, sickness, and death? Whatever enslaves man is opposed to the divine government. Truth makes man free.

God has built a higher platform of human rights, and He has built it on diviner claims. These claims are not made through code or creed, but in demonstration of "on earth peace, good-will toward men." Human codes, scholastic theology, material medicine and hygiene, fetter faith and spiritual understanding. Divine Science rends asunder these fetters, and man's birthright of sole allegiance to his Maker asserts itself.

The law of the divine Mind must end human bondage, or mortals will continue unaware of man's inalienable rights and in subjection to hopeless slavery, because some public teachers permit an ignorance of divine power, — an ignorance that is the foundation of continued bondage and of human suffering.
Discerning the rights of man, we cannot fail to foresee the doom of all oppression. Slavery is not the legitimate state of man. God made man free. Paul said, "I was free born." All men should be free. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Love and Truth make free, but evil and error lead into captivity.
Christian Science raises the standard of liberty and cries: "Follow me! Escape from the bondage of sickness, sin, and death!" Jesus marked out the way. Citizens of the world, accept the "glorious liberty of the children of God," and be free! This is your divine right. The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being.

The divine Principle of the First Commandment bases the Science of being, by which man demonstrates health, holiness, and life eternal. One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, "Love thy neighbor as thyself;" annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry, — whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.
