“"परमेश्वरा, सत्याच्या देवा, तू मला सोडवले आहेस."”
“Thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.”
6 येशूने उत्तर दिले, मी मार्ग, सत्य आणि जीवन आहे. केवळ माझ्याद्वारेच पित्याजवळ जाता येते.
4 तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये राहा आणि मी तुम्हांमध्ये राहीन. जसा फाटा वेलात राहिल्यावचून त्याच्याने फळ देता येत नाही तसे माझ्यामध्ये राहिल्याशिवाय तुम्हांला फळ देता येणार नाही.
5 मी वेल आहे, तुम्ही फाटे आहा, जो माझ्यामध्ये राहतो व मी त्याच्यामध्ये राहतो, तोच पुष्कळ फळ देतो. कारण माझ्यापासून वेगळे असल्यास तुमच्याने काही होत नाही.
6 कोणी माझ्यामध्ये राहिला नाही तर तो फाट्याप्रमाणे बाहेर टाकला जातो. तो वाळून जातो मग त्याला गोळा करून अग्नीत टाकतात व ते जाळण्यात येते.
7 तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये राहिलात व माझी वचने तुम्हामध्ये राहिली तर जे काही तुम्हांला पाहिजे ते तुम्ही मागा म्हणजे ते तुम्हांस मिळेल.
8 तुम्ही पुष्कळ फळ दिल्यानेच माझ्या पित्याचे गौरव होते, आणि तुम्ही माझे शिष्य व्हाल.
9 जशी पित्याने माझ्यावर प्रीति केली आहे तशीच मीही तुम्हांवर प्रीति केली आहे. माझ्या प्रीतीत राहा.
6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
4. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
धडा उपदेश
23 येशू गालील प्रांतात सगळीकडे गेला, येशूने सभास्थानात जाऊन शिकविले व स्वर्गाच्या राज्याची सुवार्ता सांगितली. येशूने लोकांचे सर्व रोग व दुखणी बरी केली.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
1 येशू नावेत चढला व परत आपल्या नगरात गेला.
2 तेव्हा काही लोकांनी पक्षघात झालेल्या मनुष्याला येशूकडे आणले. तो मनुष्य बाजेवर पडून होता. येशूने त्यांचा विश्वास पाहून त्या पक्षघाती मनुष्याला म्हटले. तरुण मुला, काळजी करू नकोस. तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहे.
3 नियमशास्त्राच्या काही शिक्षकांनी हे ऐकले आणि ते आपसात म्हणाले, हा मनुष्य तर ईश्वराची निंदा करीत आहे.
4 त्यांचे विचार ओळखून येशू म्हणला, तुमच्या अंत:करणात तुम्ही वाईट विचार का करता?
5 कारण, तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहे असे म्हणणे, किंवा उठून चालू लाग, असे म्हणणे यातून कोणते सोपे आहे?
6 परंतु तुम्ही हे समजून घ्यावे की, मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला, पृथ्वीवर पापाची क्षमा करण्याचा अधिकार आहे. मग येशू त्या पक्षघाती मनुष्याला म्हणाला, ऊठ! आपला बिछाना घे आणि घरी जा.
7 मग तो उठून आपल्या घरी गेला.
1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
31 ज्यांनी येशूवर विश्वास ठेवला, त्या यहूदी लोकांना तो म्हणाला, तुम्ही जर नेहमी माझ्या शिकवणुकीचे पालन कराल, तरच तुम्ही माझे खरे शिष्य आहात.
32 मग सत्य काय आहे हे तुम्हांला समजेल. आणि सत्य तुम्हांला मोकळे करील.

35 गुलाम कुटुंबात कायमचा राहत नाही. परंतु पुत्र कायमचा आपल्या कुटुंबात राहतो.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

23 येशूने उत्तर दिले, जर कोणी माझ्यावर प्रीति करतो तर तो माझी शिकवण पाळील, माझा पिता त्याच्चावर प्रीति करील. आम्ही त्याच्याकडे येऊ व त्याच्याबरोबर राहू.
24 जो माझ्यावर प्रीति करीत नाही, तो माझी शिकवण पाळणार नाही. हे शब्द जे तुम्ही ऐकता ते माझे नाहीत. ज्या पित्याने मला पाठविले त्याचे हे शब्द आहेत.
25 मी तुम्हांजवळ राहत असतानाच तुम्हांस या गोष्टी सांगितल्या आहेत.
26 तरी ज्याला पिता माझ्या नावाने पाठवील तो साहाय्यकर्ता म्हणजे पवित्र आत्मा तुम्हांस सर्व शिकवील. आणि ज्या गोष्टी मी तुम्हांस सांगितल्या त्या सर्वांची तुम्हांस आठवण करून देईल.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
5 म्हणून पेत्राला तुंगात ठेवण्यात आले. पण मंडळी सातत्याने पेत्रासाठी देवाकडे प्रार्थना करीत होती.
6 पेत्र दोन शिपायांच्यामध्ये झोपला होता. त्याला साखळ्यांनी बांधले होते. तुरुंगाच्या दाराजवळ आणखी काही शिपाई पहारा देत होते. ती रात्रीची वेळ होती व हेरोदाने असा विचार केला की, दुसऱ्या दिवशी पेत्राला लोकांसमोर आणावे.
7 अचानक देवाचा दूत तेथे उभा राहिला. तुरुंगाच्या खोलीत एकदम प्रकाश पडला. देवदूताने पेत्राच्या कुशीला स्पर्श करुन त्याला उठविले. देवदूत म्हणाला, लवकर ऊठ! तेव्हा पेत्राच्या हातातील साखळ्या गळून पडल्या.
8 देवदूत पेत्राला म्हणाला, कपडे घाल व तुझ्या वहाणा घाल. मग पेत्राने कपडे घातले. मग देवदूत म्हणाला, तुझा झगा अंगात घाल व माझ्यामागे ये!
9 मग देवदूत बाहेर पडला व पेत्र त्याच्या मागे चालला. पेत्राला कळत नव्हते की, देवदूत हे खरोखर काय करीत आहे. त्याला वाटले आपण दृष्टान्त पाहत आहोत.
10 पहिल्या व दुसऱ्या फेऱ्यातील पहारेकऱ्यांना ओलांडून पेत्र व देवदूत लोखंडी फाटकाजवळ येऊन पोहोंचले. शहर आणि त्यांच्यामध्ये आता फक्त फाटकच होते. ते फाटक त्यांच्यासाठी आपोआप उघडले. पेत्र व देवदूत फाटकामधून बाहेर पडले. त्यांनी एक रस्ता पार केला आणि अचानक देवदूत पेत्राला सोडून निघून गेला.
11 पेत्राला मग कळले की नेमके काय घडले. आणि तो म्हणाला, आता मला समजले की प्रभूने त्याचा दूत माइयाकडे पाठविला. व त्याने मला हेरोदापासून सोडविले. यहूदी लोकांना वाटले की, माझा छळ होईल. पण प्रभूने मला या सर्वांतून सोडविले आहे.
12 या गोष्टीची जाणीव झाल्यावर पेत्र मरीयेच्या घरी गेला. ती योहानाची आई होती. (योहानाला मार्क असेही म्हणत) पुष्कळ लोक त्या ठिकाणी जमले होते. ते सर्व प्रार्थना करीत होते.
13 पेत्राने बाहेरील बाजूने दार ठोठावले. तेव्हा रुदा नावाची दासी दार उघडण्यासाठी आली.
14 तिने पेत्राचा आवाज लगेच ओळखला आणि ती खूप आनंदित झाली. ती दार उघडण्याचेसुद्धा विसरुन गेली. ती आतमध्ये पळाली आणि लोकांना तिने सांगितले, पेत्र दाराजवळ उभा आहे!
15 विश्वासणारे रुदाला म्हणाले, तू बावचळलीस! परंतु पेत्र दाराजवळ उभा आहे, असे रुदा परत परत अगदी कळकळीने सांगू लागली. म्हणून लोक म्हणाले, तो पेत्राचा दूत असला पाहिज!
16 पण पेत्र बाहेरुन दार सारखे ठोठावत होता. जेव्हा विश्वासणाऱ्यांनी दार उघडले, तेव्हा त्यांनी पेत्राला पाहिले. ते चकित झाले होते.
17 पेत्राने हाताने खुणावून शांत राहायला सांगितले, मग त्याने प्रभूने तुरुंगातून कसे आणले हे सविस्तर सांगितले. तो म्हणाला. याकोब व इतर बांधवांना काय घडले ते सांगा. मग पेत्र तेथून निघून दुसऱ्या ठिकाणी गेला.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.
11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.
13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison.
17 प्रभु आत्मा आहे आणि जेथे प्रभूचा आत्मा आहे तेथे मोकळेपणा आहे.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
रोग टाळण्यासाठी किंवा तो बरा करण्यासाठी, सत्याच्या शक्तीने, दैवी आत्म्याच्या, भौतिक इंद्रियांचे स्वप्न तोडले पाहिजे.
To prevent disease or to cure it, the power of Truth, of divine Spirit, must break the dream of the material senses.

Truth has no consciousness of error. Love has no sense of hatred. Life has no partnership with death. Truth, Life, and Love are a law of annihilation to everything unlike themselves, because they declare nothing except God.

Truth has no beginning. The divine Mind is the Soul of man, and gives man dominion over all things. Man was not created from a material basis, nor bidden to obey material laws which Spirit never made; his province is in spiritual statutes, in the higher law of Mind.

The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, — perfect God and perfect man, — as the basis of thought and demonstration.

Knowing that Soul and its attributes were forever manifested through man, the Master healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, feet to the lame, thus bringing to light the scientific action of the divine Mind on human minds and bodies and giving a better understanding of Soul and salvation. Jesus healed sickness and sin by one and the same metaphysical process.

Since the author's discovery of the might of Truth in the treatment of disease as well as of sin, her system has been fully tested and has not been found wanting; but to reach the heights of Christian Science, man must live in obedience to its divine Principle. To develop the full might of this Science, the discords of corporeal sense must yield to the harmony of spiritual sense, even as the science of music corrects false tones and gives sweet concord to sound.
Theology and physics teach that both Spirit and matter are real and good, whereas the fact is that Spirit is good and real, and matter is Spirit's opposite. The question, What is Truth, is answered by demonstration, — by healing both disease and sin; and this demonstration shows that Christian healing confers the most health and makes the best men. On this basis Christian Science will have a fair fight. Sickness has been combated for centuries by doctors using material remedies; but the question arises, Is there less sickness because of these practitioners? A vigorous "No" is the response deducible from two connate facts, — the reputed longevity of the Antediluvians, and the rapid multiplication and increased violence of diseases since the flood.

Semper paratus is Truth's motto. Having seen so much suffering from quackery, the author desires to keep it out of Christian Science. The two-edged sword of Truth must turn in every direction to guard "the tree of life."

If Spirit or the power of divine Love bear witness to the truth, this is the ultimatum, the scientific way, and the healing is instantaneous.
The procuring cause and foundation of all sickness is fear, ignorance, or sin. Disease is always induced by a false sense mentally entertained, not destroyed. Disease is an image of thought externalized.

Truth brings the elements of liberty. On its banner is the Soul-inspired motto, "Slavery is abolished." The power of God brings deliverance to the captive. No power can withstand divine Love. What is this supposed power, which opposes itself to God? Whence cometh it? What is it that binds man with iron shackles to sin, sickness, and death? Whatever enslaves man is opposed to the divine government. Truth makes man free.
You may know when first Truth leads by the fewness and faithfulness of its followers. Thus it is that the march of time bears onward freedom's banner. The powers of this world will fight, and will command their sentinels not to let truth pass the guard until it subscribes to their systems; but Science, heeding not the pointed bayonet, marches on. There is always some tumult, but there is a rallying to truth's standard.

Discerning the rights of man, we cannot fail to foresee the doom of all oppression. Slavery is not the legitimate state of man. God made man free. Paul said, "I was free born." All men should be free. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Love and Truth make free, but evil and error lead into captivity.

The law of Christ, or Truth, makes all things possible to Spirit; but the so-called laws of matter would render Spirit of no avail, and demand obedience to materialistic codes, thus departing from the basis of one God, one lawmaker. To suppose that God constitutes laws of inharmony is a mistake; discords have no support from nature or divine law, however much is said to the contrary.

The infinite Truth of the Christ-cure has come to this age through a "still, small voice," through silent utterances and divine anointing which quicken and increase the beneficial effects of Christianity. I long to see the consummation of my hope, namely, the student's higher attainments in this line of light.
Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth's opposite, has no might. Evil is but the counterpoise of nothingness. The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right. The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal. Error is a coward before Truth.
